ABOUT LABRADOR RETRIEVER
The ancestors of this breed came into being in Canada, but during the 19th century in Britain the modern Retriever from Labrador developed. To recover the ducks they shot, Hunters had used lab puppies for sale. Black lab puppies for sale are an energetic breed, which means they need to perform, or they can be difficult to handle.
The Labrador Retriever Temperament is ideally suited for an active owner who is able to exercise his dog both physically and mentally. If your idea of a fun afternoon is to curl up with a good book, then I would recommend that you do not pick a lab puppy for sale for your canine companion. Otherwise the dog's going to get bored, and that's when behavioral issues start to surface.
The Labrador retriever is above all, a working dog. Some breeders breed dogs not for a career but for a job, and the Lab is one of those dogs. You need to give your Lab Puppy a chance to use his immense intellect for good, or he'll use it for mischief instead. For eg, the bored Lab puppy for sale digs, barks, and takes the wash off the line – all those boredom-related behaviors that we really don't like. This form of dog temperament is perfect for dog obedience and agility training. Not only will your lab enjoy the sport, but it will also enjoy working with you as part of your squad.
The laboratory needs a knowledgeable teacher who is a firm, reliable leader. I'm not recommending the Lab to the novice dog owner. I like to see them at home with someone who used to own pets. As with other working dog temperaments, the Labrador can be intensely focused on whatever draws his attention. He's going to follow the scent before he reaches his source, which can enable him to escape from his yard to continue hunting. The original task of the Labrador was to go out to the field and carry back the downed bird that the hunter shot in his mouth. Nowadays, Labs also love using their mouths to hold or chew items around. Chewing is bad, but normal activity for a Labrador who doesn't have a lot of physical exercise. You can find that your lab also likes to chew your hands lightly. Luckily, this doesn't normally hurt, but it's not the kind of action you want to promote. The easiest way to handle this activity is to give your dog a lot of chew toys to gnaw on. If he starts mouthing your hand, turn your attention to something that he likes best, like the Denta-bone. You should even take him for a run every day to keep his energy levels under balance.
GROOMING;
The lab has a thick double cover, which is also waterproof. Brush him on a weekly basis to keep him looking his best.
Give them an occasional bath to keep him looking shiny and tidy and fragrant clean, and don't forget to cut his nails regularly to avoid pain when walking.
There are three key Labrador retriever colors, and since this breed is so common, you've probably seen all of them at some point in your life. They're coming in yellow, chocolate, or black.
EXERCISE;
Because the agile Labrador Retriever temperament comes with a bundle of energy, you need to exercise it on a regular basis. If you don't give him a way out to release it he'll put the energy into aggressive actions, like chewing or jumping.
In reality, Labs thrive on the kind of hard work that sucks the marrow out of your bones. That's why Labs excelle in K-9 tasks including search-and-rescue missions or drug or bomb detection.
Two of the activities that the Lab enjoys most are retrieving (hence the name) and swimming. If you can incorporate any kind of water activity with your regular workout, you'll have a happy lab on your hands. It also loves playing in hunting or canine activities.
WHY CHOOSE THIS LAB PUPPIES
Labrador Retrievers are friendly, smart, strong dogs. As a consequence, they are America's most famous dogs. If you are looking for a pet, a working dog, or a show dog, you can take your time to pick a Labrador puppy with care. The Lab puppies gained praise and appreciation for its arduous, caring disposition until the American Kennel Club (AKC) formally recognized its breed in 1917. In the 1700s the Labrador retriever is one amazing breed. Since his humble beginnings in Newfoundland as a fishing dog (no no Labrador) until his lovely companion in the 1800s in England, and he is increasingly famous as a hunting race. In 2018, the AKC recently listed Labrador as the most common breed in the United States – for the 28th consecutive year. "The Laboratory is truly America's dog," says AKC vice president Gina DiNardo.
1. Sporting Always Ready
As a hunting/fishing breed, Labrador retrievers are listed as part of the AKC sports category which means that they are prepared to find everything – you have unintentionally flanked into the brooks, from downed ducks to the Frisbee.
2. Mate of the original fisherman
Labrador recruits naturally like water, since they were originally developed to help reclaim fish and to pull fishing lines to the coast; thus, if you like to swim, there is no better mate than a laboratory to bring to the beach.
3. Training Simple
Intelligent, but looking for a master, Labs are taught to obey human guidance and if they are well trained and cared for, they produce very well-consuming animals that are able to do much more than "sit," "stay" and "roll over."
4. Is there a safety nose?
The Labrador retrievers are sometimes used by customs and border protections agencies for trafficking purposes, particularly for vegetable and animal products imported into the country.
5. Healthy for children
Labs are a very gentle, patient race and are popular with children with the right socialization and training.
They share a similar appetite for outdoor life, curiosity and love. As with any pet, though, leave your Labrador recorder and your children alone and uncontrolled together is never a good idea.
6. Healthy for other species
Laboratories are generally known to get along with other dogs, particularly when introduced as puppies. It's important to look for signs of violence at an early stage as for any changes in your family/pack. Consider selecting a neutral location, such as a park to avoid territorial impulses for the first meeting when adopting an adult dog.
7. In health and sickness
Labrador retrievers are usually a safe race. Typical problems may include hip, knee and eye dysplasia, which are normal in most breeds as they age. You should expect to share your laboratory for 10-12 wonderful years.
8. Your perfect buddy for exercise
Love training? Your Labrador is now reclaiming. The laboratory is considered to be strong dogs who can go and go. In fact, it is important to look at your dog for fatigue or overheating, because laboratories are not the best people to know when to leave. You can't pick a better dog than the Labrador recorder as you look for a regular companion who likes to run and play as much as you do.
TRAINING
Labrador Puppy Training
As soon as you get your Labrador puppy at home, you can begin short sessions.
A lab puppy cannot only learn, he or she is learning very quickly so that you can benefit from this short window, particularly because you can avoid several wrong ways or behaviors.
Education in Crate
Crate training is the way you teach your dog to see their box as a special place for themselves. It's a place to get away from things, relax and feel safe and comfortable. Complete it and your dog and your cage will profit greatly. Many people see a dog as mean, and it can undoubtedly be wrong. But after effective crate training, the crate becomes a place they love, an incredibly useful tool for you to use for the management of your dog and a place they can use to get away from things when they wish.
Training for House
If you want a Labrador to live in your house, I don't need to explain how important to train them out or how important a particular dedicated indoor bathroom is. You just can't get them to urinate or defecate anywhere. This training is sometimes referred to as 'house schooling' or 'small training' sometimes.
